Six airbags--two front, two front seat-mounted and two roof-mounted side curtain ones--are installed on each 2012 Nissan LEAF for safety. Added on the vehicle are a child safety feature on the rear door locks and lowered tethers and anchors for younger occupants. For security, the car has engine immobilizer and vehicle anti-theft systems.
